Concert Hall Muth [ENA] The Concert Hall Muth is known for his performances which involve young people. The famous Vienna Boys Chore is the most prominent example. Only during the month of March 2023, Muth presented to the public two performances with the participation of young people. One is the opera Dido performed by Chorus Juventus and Aeneas and another one is the theatre play Woyzeck performed by Reinhardt Seminar.

Dido and Aeneas is the opera of Henry Purcell and is one of the most important baroque operas. It is about the tragic love between the queen of Karthage Dido and the Trojan prince Aeneas. Dido loves Aeneas, and Aeneas loves Dido, but Dido has an enemy: the sorceress and her witches do everything they can to drive a wedge between the two. Their goal is the destruction of Dido and Carthage. The witches, who take great joy in destruction, cultivate a very special singing style: the chorus plays a leading role in the play.

Woyzeck is a theatre play performed by young people. Students of the Max Reinhardt Seminar at the mdw - University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna show selected productions, acting and directing students show their artistic visions. "Every man is an abyss" - Woyzeck, a soldier plagued by poverty and delusions, and his girlfriend Marie have a child and little to laugh about. Woyzeck has to let his superiors humiliate him, while Marie tries to free herself from the oppressive relationship and society. The situation escalates and Woyzeck resorts to violence. Büchner's piece fragment from 1836 is timelessly political, the interpretation of the ensemble is magical and macabre at the same time.
